Fancy-ass University Professors are the Marine Corps Scout Snipers of PTO. Through careful deployment of sabbaticals, research leaves, and visiting fellowships (=doing nothing, elsewhere, with the cover of a “letter of invitation”), they can spend YEARS just getting tanned and cashing checks. Don’t ask me how I know, ’cause I’m out by the pool.
