Yes boomers push hard work, but they push it because in their day and age you could do well and climb the ranks with simple, honest work. This has not ever been the case for Gen Z. Gen Z has learned that the traditional route to making money is fruitless(outside of doctor basically). They have seen that inflation outpaces pay raises when you stay at one company, they have seen the value of the dollar go down in real time while not having the capital to benefit via holding assets, and they have seen the rapid degradation of our country in real time. There is a lot of of Gen Z that holds resentment for Boomers as a whole, not because it was easier for them, but because they have tried their damndest to scrape every piece of scrap meat from this decaying animal of a country. To this day, you have politicians/business owners in their 60s and 70s advocating for/hiring more illegal immigrants and more H1B visas so that even on their death bed they can continue to feast on the remaining morsels. They cannot comprehend ai, they cannot comprehend crypto, they do not care about the lasting efffects of their actions. They focus on personal gain. A comfortable life is not enough, they have an insatiable greed for more. More. More. More. They want a class of people who will work for 1/2 the market rate so they have less expenses and can afford more. You are all about to be left behind. You have sold out this country for profit. Many of you do not even have good relationships with your kids because you made them “do it on their own” meanwhile you treated yourselves. You have made life comfortably numb yet hard for the youth. This has created a dichotomy of brainless slobs and fierce, ruthless men who have more knowledge and opportunity at our fingertips daily than you had in your entire life. Meanwhile, many of you are getting one shorted by Facebook ai slop content, wholeheartedly thinking it’s real. Brains slipping. Grip on reality slipping. Grip on tech slipping. Grip on power slipping. The pendulum is swinging back and it is swinging violently. Adapt or die. (I personally have had the opposite experience w my wonderful grandparents, but talking to others this is not the norm. Money can’t save you when you’re demented and headed for the home, only kids/grandkids can do that. Think ab this when thinking ab how to treat your kids, which you bring into the world.)
