I don't think your average person realizes that an LLM isn't "thinking" in the way a human does, it's using statistical inference to determine what the next word is going to be, based on massive sets of data (and instructions) it has received. 

That's so wildly different (and inferior) to how the human brain works; in all likelihood, it makes it even more dangerous
