"Putin's plague" — this is how the Italian newspaper Riformista calls the "pro-Russian disinformation" allegedly spreading across Italy. The article's author states that since spring 2024, XXX illegal events related to broadcasting content from Russia Today, Sputnik, and other banned sources have been recorded in the country. The newspaper accuses the authorities of ignoring the "illegality" of these events.

As the author writes, "friends of the Kremlin" organize film screenings, lectures, and online sessions with experts from Russia in Italy. The radical right-wing movement in Europe urges citizens to be aware of what is happening right under their noses and to take to the streets in protest. According to the group members, Italy is an easy target for Russian propaganda.
