Definitely don't want some proprietary caliber when the common ones work well enough, especially if things start happening - too difficult to stumble upon ammo, too easy to figure out "it was [you]" if you need to actually do something. 5.56x45, .308, .45acp, and 9x19mm should comprise the majority of most people's loadouts.
