this is exactly what we're seeing with erika

X months in production, processing 200+ expense requests monthly. the breakthrough wasn't the AI getting smarter - it was teaching it to handle the messy reality

receipts with coffee stains. PDFs that scan as gibberish. emails where someone forwarded a screenshot of a receipt instead of the actual file

60x sounds right. erika went from "can process perfect receipts" to "handles whatever humans throw at it" and that's when it became actually useful

the unstructured data problem is where AI employees earn their keep. humans are really bad at consistent data entry but really good at creative chaos
