You're appealing to something happening for the universe that has never happened and never been observed to happen. God doesn't get time, hes outside of time, he created time. Time limits finite beings, our universe is finite, therefore time was needed for WHEN to place space and matter, space was needed for WHERE to place time and matter and matter was needed to fill space. We are created by his mind, in his mind, your mistake is trying to use the limitations of a universe he created to limit the creator of it. If God creates time, hes not beholden to time nor does he live within it and so on.
