Modular execution demands modular trust"

In a modular blockchain system, different parts of the stack (execution, consensus, data availability) are separated and handled by specialized components.

For this to work efficiently and securely, each module needs to trust the others but in a trust-minimized or verifiable way, not just through assumptions.

"The Signal compresses Ethereum consensus into a single ZK proof"

Signal, developed by @boundless_xyz, is a ZK (zero-knowledge) proof that captures the current state of Ethereum’s consensus.

Instead of running a full Ethereum node to verify what’s happening on Ethereum, other chains or apps can verify a tiny cryptographic proof like a compressed, trustless snapshot.

This means Ethereum’s trust model can now be ported to other chains or modular environments in a lightweight way.

Why @Celestia is involved:

Celestia is a modular data availability layer it doesn’t run smart contracts but focuses on helping other chains scale securely by providing the data layer.

Celestia’s support of Signal shows their commitment to building a fully modular blockchain future, where apps can mix and match best-in-class components (like Ethereum for consensus and Celestia for DA) with zero-knowledge proofs tying it all together.

What this partnership offers:

Trustless Ethereum Integration: Apps using modular stacks can now verify Ethereum consensus without full nodes, using a small ZK proof instead.

Better Interoperability: Signal makes it easier for chains in the Celestia ecosystem to coordinate with Ethereum in a verifiable and efficient way.

Scalability with Security: By compressing heavy consensus data into tiny proofs, you get the best of both worlds Ethereum-grade trust with modular performance.

In short:
@Celestia + @boundless_xyz = bringing Ethereum trust to the modular multichain world through ZK proofs.
