The way to bring about equality should never ever be to drag down those in the front of the race, but by boosting those in the rear. If "being read to" gives kids an advantage, instead of stopping it, go read to some kids. Foster a "read to kids" group at the local library or school. Agitate for a national "read to kids" program.
