He is not defensively worse than the likes of Trent Alexander Arnold, Joao Cancelo, etc. No, he doesn't have the technicality or passing range, etc. of either of them. He is a different type of fullback. A space eater. Able to cover plenty, plenty of ground, stretch the pitch, and put in very good final balls/low crosses/cutbacks in the final 3rd. He is very, very good at holding widthh, and finding himself in dangerous positions in the final 3rd. For a first season at right back? Very good. I genuinely think he can become a Top X right back in the league.
