Lets run a thought experiment 

Block space is filled, you and I are priced out of operating on chain. ..

A solution is to change the code of Bitcoin...

But let's remember... Most Bitcoin will be from custodial solutions

Do they make money if the scalability issue is fixed???

Is more money made for them if the base layer is too expensive to operate on?? 

By fixing this problem, custodied Bitcoin gets less attractive, but nobody wants that.....

This isn't a huge problem yet... But it won't get better
