When you look at the world of financial products through the lens of asymmetry or "higher and better uses of capital" then you can cherry pick where to put capital to work so you get limited downside and large, outsized returns. When I trade #ES_F anymore if theres not 30-50pts on a big swing, don't care. If there's not $4-7 on #CL_F I can see, don't care - I want asymmetry where I can load up the size and gain a lot v. fighting for pennies and nickels. This is why I've never painted myself into a corner as a certain type of investor because you then limit your money-making opportunities - also the reason (shameless plug) we publish @TheLongVol report each week because it tracks various types of investments and idea flow that is all cherry-picked as the most asymmetric ideas possible. Whether thats $OKLO momo or $GXO equity long or $VFC turn around all of the ideas have some sort of asymmetric component to them - anyway just sharing to end the week. Enjoy the weekend!
