Trump’s July 4, 2025 vow to deport citizens “in a heartbeat” wasn’t hyperbole—ICE has already deported XX U.S.-born children this year under his denaturalization memo. Citizenship isn’t a privilege revoked by MAGA whims. It’s a constitutional right.  

The admin’s $20B aid blockade to Puerto Rico mirrors its citizenship threats: both weaponize bureaucracy against marginalized communities. After Hurricane Maria’s $6M relief vs Texas’ $141M, Trump now starves PR while ICE agents hunt citizens. This isn’t policy—it’s ethnic erasure disguised as law.  

When citizenship becomes conditional on loyalty tests, the Statue of Liberty’s torch dims. Puerto Ricans know this truth best.
