Just because a black cat walked past your ladder and you fell off, it wasn't the black cat's fault. And lots of false science falls into such categories where pseudo-scientists try to establish a narrative they want to promote and sway people with what otherwise are two wholly unrelated things, but when put together, it makes people doubt... Example? I'm not a big fan of organic food for various reasons, and a hot-button topic lately is the case/diagnosis of autism. Well, here's scientific proof that supports a thesis that says eliminating organic food will reduce autism. (Hint for the slow in the crowd: it's not true, but I'm illustrating a point) Just because you read something and it makes sense to you--it doesn't mean it's accurate or valid science. Remain skeptical... it's usually a safe bet.
