The Silent Plot to Destroy Ram Setu- 2007

In 2007, the Congress-led UPA government pushed the Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project a plan to build a maritime channel between India and Sri Lanka.

The route?

Straight through Ram Setu, the ancient bridge built by Lord Ram’s vanara sena.

Why the outrage?

Because Ram Setu is not just mythology — it’s a civilizational symbol:
— Mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayan
— Satellite images confirm its structure
— Revered by millions across Bharat

Congress’s stand?

In an official affidavit to the Supreme Court, the UPA government claimed:
“There is no historical evidence to establish the existence of Lord Ram or Ram Setu.”

In short to build a port, Congress was willing to erase Ram, and dismantle a sacred link to our itihas.

Only public outrage stalled the project. Not remorse. Not faith. Not respect.

They weren’t building a canal.
