Video below. It was an emotional and challenging experience, but a fantastic conversation was had. Neither Joseph nor I came away feeling differently. But we were, I believe, each convinced that the other had good intentions and hoped for the best for Israelis and Palestinians. We just have very different beliefs on how to get there. In one particularly heart-rending moment, we both agreed that we were each arguing for very problematic and dangerous solutions, and both knew that horrible things were happening in Gaza. It was a great moment of shared humanity. I feel nothing but respect for Joseph after this. I also have to give tremendous credit to Jake, first, for putting this together. It is hard to get two people to talk in good faith like this. Second, for letting it flow and only giving a nudge when necessary.
