I did not know anything about this Corruption case prior until Indonesia agencies announced the case; I just thought it was odd to keep pressuring $GRAB to buy $Goto at $7B. I digged deeper and found it fishy. I tend to make bold call, I didnt shy away from it at the time. And on $GRAB management, hat off to them. They played it the best they possibly could. They just waited and denied the talk. If I had to guess, @masason has deep connection with Indonesia govt and the new president admin, Son probably knew. $GRAB or @AnthonyPY_Tan didnt want to piss off the Govt. It is already looking bad with this $600m corruption case in the Indo public eyes. Now moving forward, the current president admin or lawmakers already signaled that $GRAB can handle the job loss/market share if $goto was to go away. Meaning $goto is a major employer in Indonesia. That would also mean the govt is going after $Goto. I don't want to speculate too much, but $goto is worthless imo. Would you trust $goto financial statements knowing Founders stole money from poor children? Why did have to keep repeating the same message that $goto has nothing to do with this for X years+? And why did the Indo prosecutors went after Goto offices but not their homes? XanhSm(Vinfast) is not a serious competition with $4-$5B cash burn and fake sale. So $GRAB is very likely to have the most market share in the largest market that has nearly 300m people.
