BREAKING: US ENVOY SNUBBED AGAIN IN WEST AFRICA

Envoy William B. Stevens, sent by US President Donald Trump, was again received only by the Foreign Minister this time in Mali after a similar rebuff in Burkina Faso. 

Both Bamako and Ouagadougou insist the US must issue a public apology for false claims against Captain Ibrahim Traoré before any reset. Washington offered only private diplomacy, which Traoré rejected, and Mali is following suit. Stevens heads next to Niger, where officials are expected to echo the same demand.

Three Sahel leaders Traoré, Goïta, and Niger’s haven’t visited Washington, yet Washington keeps calling. 

Meanwhile, African critics say those who did attend the recent US-Africa Summit looked more like Western proxies than independent voices, punctuated by Gabon’s president returning home in a “Make America Great Again” cap.
