It simply reminded civil servants of their legal limits — as it should. Civil servants aren’t ordinary protesters. They’re bound by General Orders, service circulars & the Public Officers (Conduct & Discipline) Regs 1993. AGC, as legal adviser to govt under Art. 145, has every right to interpret the law for them. So no — this isn’t “dictatorship”. It’s called doing your job. If you're a teacher, enforcement officer, or govt staff in uniform joining a political rally - yes, that’s a potential breach. AGC didn’t say the Rakyat can’t turun. They said public servants have responsibilities — & reminded them before they act, not after. Only in Malaysia can upholding service law be spun as political oppression. So please — stop pretending to expose something everyone already knows. The AGC isn't overreaching.
