Obama was terrible, but the ACA only passed because the healthcare system was already broken and unaffordable. What he actually did was open the door for private equity to help incentivize the consolidation and profit off the industry. Every president from Nixon onward has been awful - but the core failure has always been refusing to create a universal healthcare system like the rest of the developed world did after WWII.

Stop pretending like some of us don’t remember life prior to Obama - it was just as shitty and exploitive, what we’re dealing with now is an accumulation of all of that. Obama was elected because people were so fed up with the system after the Great Recession.
