My absolute favorite rendition of Ophelia is by John Everett Millais. I have a copy hanging in my bedroom.

The lore behind the model Millais used for Ophelia is tragically beautiful.

She was Elizabeth Siddal. Discovered working in a modest shop, and eventually became a muse for several artists. Dante Rossetti was so distraught over her death that he buried his unpublished poems with her.

Makes my heart skip a beat to imagine those lost words ❤️
