The core issue isn’t whether individual solutions work - it’s that we’re systematically incentivized to build workarounds instead of fixes. Uber does improve mobility, but it also let cities off the hook for transit investment.

Same pattern everywhere: instead of addressing root causes (housing policy, education funding, infrastructure), we build premium alternatives that work around the problem.

This is a policy and incentive problem, not a tech problem.
