We tested ClickHouse's new JSON data type against MongoDB, Elasticsearch, DuckDB, and PostgreSQL, processing and querying X billion JSON documents.

The results speak for themselves:
🔸ClickHouse is XX% more storage efficient and 2,500× faster at aggregations than MongoDB
🔸ClickHouse needs 2× less storage space and is 10× faster at aggregations than Elasticsearch
🔸ClickHouse requires 5× less disk space and is 9,000× faster than DuckDB at analytical queries
🔸ClickHouse uses 6× less disk space and is 9,000× faster than PostgreSQL for JSON analytics

It's worth noting that ClickHouse stores JSON documents XX% more compactly than the same documents compressed on disk, even when using the same compression algorithm.
