She revealed that, according to the 2023 Population and Housing Census, the region's population stands at 123,266, with over XXXXXX households relying on agriculture as their primary source of livelihood. Despite the sector’s importance, Sinimbo expressed concern over the region's limited access to basic services. “Only XXXX% of residents have access to electricity,” she said. Sinimbo further revealed that a staggering XXXX% of households lack toilet facilities, and XX% of the population does not have access to potable water. She also noted that unemployment continues to weigh heavily on the region, standing at 52.8%, with youth unemployment reaching 58.1%. “These realities call for urgent and focused interventions,” Sinimbo stated. “Particularly in job creation, poverty reduction, and sustainable economic development to uplift the living standards of our people," she added. Sinimbo concluded by urging all stakeholders to work together in addressing the pressing needs of the region.
