The Chanthaburi-Trat Border Defence Command has imposed martial law in select districts along the Cambodian border, citing continued cross-border aggression by Cambodian forces.

The order refers to the nationwide martial law declared on XX September 2006 and the Royal Command of XX December 2007, which later limited its scope. In response to recent armed incursions along the eastern frontier, authorities say expanded military powers are necessary to safeguard national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and public safety.

Under Section XXX of the Constitution and Section X of the 1914 Martial Law Act, martial law now applies to:

- Chanthaburi Province: Mueang Chanthaburi, Tha Mai, Makham, Laem Sing, Kaeng Hang Maeo, Na Yai Am, and Khao Khitchakut Districts

- Trat Province: Khao Saming District

The order takes effect immediately.
