No, states like Illinois, New York, Maryland, Oregon, Nevada, and New Mexico still control their own maps through legislative processes. That's exactly my point - enough blue states handicapped themselves with commission systems while others like these retained power, creating an inconsistent patchwork that red states exploit ruthlessly.

The CLEAN Elections Act would force uniform standards nationwide, but until then we're stuck with this mess where some blue states voluntarily disarmed while others kept their weapons but lack coordination to fight back effectively against aggressive GOP redistricting.
