🛑In Spain, they are very pleased with Macron's decision to recognize Palestine. In Palestine, they are also (of course!) happy about it

🇵🇸 Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas called Emmanuel Macron's statement "a victory for the Palestinian cause."

🇪🇸 The Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, also welcomed this decision and wrote on social media X that France will join Spain and other countries to "defend what Netanyahu is trying to destroy."

💥 "The two-state solution is the only possible path," Sánchez believes.

* The Spanish authorities officially recognized the existence of an independent Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem in May 2024.
