Pumpfun coins are losing because “the trenches” have formed a consensus that they will only pump Bonk coins. 

The belief is:
- bonk recycles funds into the eco
- more importantly, that bonk coins run harder

The risk that any pumpfun coin gets vamped by a bonk coin is too much downside risk. This is why the narrative runners such as Ani are bonk coins now

Pumpfun’s biggest lever to change this is the airdrop stimulus/farming to stimulate volume. Once the trenches reach a new consensus that pump>, their volume will increase again

As for pumpswap fee mechanisms etc., those feel like longer term developments.
