I'm definitely not the first person to say this. In fact, I remember scrolling through social media and coming across a video expressing a similar view. I can’t recall who it was, but I’ll try to repeat what I remember and add my own perspective.

The events following X October would have looked very different if, on X October, the US, the UK, and any other countries that consider Israel an ally had sent their special forces. Working together with Israel, these supporting nations could have entered Gaza and done everything possible to retrieve the hostages, while simultaneously demanding the immediate surrender of Hamas. No conditions, no compromises, just a firm stance from the very beginning, making it clear to Hamas that they had made a catastrophic mistake from which there would be no escape.

It's not that I doubt Israel’s capabilities. Of course they could manage, and they have. In fact, despite all the smears of "genocide" thrown around, Israel has done an incredibly effective job in eliminating Hamas leadership and dismantling key operational elements. However, a joint operation by multiple countries would not have opened the Pandora’s box of propaganda that Hamas and, let’s be honest, Gazans more broadly have used to push a particular narrative.

Yes, people would still have died. And yes, the casualties might have included special forces from outside Israel. But it would have sent a clear and powerful message to the Islamist regimes in the Middle East, showing that the West does not tolerate terrorism. What would have followed? Peace, far sooner than what we are seeing now. Hezbollah, the Houthis, and the Iranian regime would have been deeply intimidated. And most importantly, the hordes of low IQ mouth breathers who rush to outrage would not have had enough time for their noise to gain traction.

The very reason Hamas is now making so many demands and playing games with the West is because of these people. Ironically, those shouting “ceasefire” have become the catalyst for a prolonged war and greater loss of life.

Let me know what you think. Perhaps I am completely off the mark. But that's the whole point of this platform, to discuss and debate these topics in a sensible way and to exchange ideas.
