Bitcoin: chasing e-cash narrative, chasing mass adoption narrative, chasing halving narrative, chasing store of value narrative, chasing tradfi, etc. 
Ethereum: chasing the new bitcoin narrative, chasing world computer narrative, chasing scaling narrative, chasing staking, chasing deflationary …  etc 

You’re right but it looks the narrative change works only for certain assets in inhomogeneous ways.
