Again, to be taxed you must be in a higher tax bracket than XX or XX% and the largest portion of that $458.5B will be from well off seniors who likely are in much higher tax brackets than the 22%. It may be possible that the $81.4B total reflects that but since a big portion goes to Medicare it still does not disprove the claim that the Democrats through their legislation raided the social security trust fund, even if they used that revenue to bolster Medicare.
