If not for the internet and Twitter, this GMO issue won't have met this much resistance by Nigerians.

They'd have started by suppressing the information about insecurity in Benue and Plateau and called anyone talking about it a conspiracy theorist.

Then, they'd use traditional media to spin that our foot inflation and shortage is because the yield of our natural seeds is too low to satisfy our population.

Then, traditional media would've come out again to help them suppress information about all the other countries that have banned the use of GMOs in their countries and why.

They'd have told us that GMOs guarantee 1,000x more yield, and we'd have jumped at it.
