Fun Fact: the company known as Porton Products which was big into blood plasma research and marketed discoveries from Porton Down (yes, *that* Porton Down) began life in the 19th century as a company that imported grains.
This has always made me wonder if that's when they began weaponizing grains (especially those used to make bread)
