#SupremeCourt for now stays off the plea concerning release of #UdaipurFiles; requests Delhi High Court to hear all related matters on Monday, SC does not express any opinion on merits

Centre told the Court the film is based on a specific crime and not against any community.

Petitioners, including Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind and accused in Kanhaiya Lal murder case, withdrew pleas to challenge Centre’s order before Delhi High Court.

Supreme Court noted it had not granted any stay and said appropriate forum now is the High Court.

Court recorded withdrawal of Special Leave Petition by producers and returned writs for filing before the High Court.

Delhi High Court requested to hear all pending challenges on July 29; Supreme Court clarified it has not examined merits
