Sometimes you hear that VC funds ignore the ICP ecosystem — that they don’t invest in or support projects from the ecosystem. But how did that happen? 

Let’s take a look at one of the top funds — Polychain Capital. They didn’t ignore the ecosystem; in fact, they invested. But what came of those investments, and why did they stop investing?

1⃣ Polychain Capital invested in Bitfinity Network at a $130M valuation


The project's current valuation is $2.6M

2⃣ Polychain Capital invested in ORIGYN at a $300M valuation


The project's current valuation is $29M

3⃣ Polychain Capital invested in DSCVR


There’s no public info on the valuation, but it was roughly around $90M. The project never launched a token, lost all its initial hype, platform activity is minimal, and their last post on X was over X months ago.

And these are supposedly the best projects in the ecosystem. Isn’t it obvious why they stopped investing? How can the situation be improved?
