This is Lago di Braies, a jewel of the Italian Dolomites. Formed by a prehistoric landslide, it was once a sacred site for the Ladin people. During WWII, it hid Nazi prisoners. Today, it’s known for its emerald waters, alpine views, and timeless wooden boats drifting in mountain silence.
