One logic stack. One economic system. And when it fails to scale, it adds layers band-aids on evolutionary limits. Polkadot chose a different path: digital speciation. Every parachain is a distinct species: One optimized for high-frequency computation. Another designed for slow, deliberate governance. One exists only for DAOs. Another for verifiable randomness in games. Different chains. Different genes. But all share a common substrate the relay. Just like mitochondria power many cells, the relay powers many chains but doesn’t dictate who they are. And with XCMP, they can share signals the beginnings of digital ecosystems. They evolve.
