#FantasticFour was a fantastic ride…

They finally did it, they got the Fantastic Four right on the fourth attempt. The film keeps you invested throughout with a beautiful 60s visual aesthetic, Michael Giacchino’s amazing score, and chemistry between four talented leads. Everyone carried their weight, but I thought Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm & Joseph Quinn’s Johnny stole the show. There were some significant plot points that felt like they were wrapped up way too quickly/conveniently, and some power-scaling inconsistencies with major characters, but overall it was a fun ride, with a fantastic third act (almost worth the price of admission alone). This is probably my favorite CBM of the year.
