One huge crowd spanning multiple stories, to go through a single funnel, and the airport staff spent a full two hours moving people in a handicap elevator from the bottom of the stairs to the top of the stairs, to stand in the same line, out of some cargo cult magical thinking that this would make it go faster. Because an elevator is faster than the stairs.
