#NewsFatafat | The European Central Bank hit pause on rate cuts, holding its key interest rate at X% amid escalating trade tensions with the U.S. After four straight cuts this year, the ECB is now navigating what it calls an "exceptionally uncertain" environment with talks over tariffs heating up and the euro strengthening, markets are jittery over potential deflation and slower growth. President Christine Lagarde says recent eurozone resilience was partly due to front-loaded exports ahead of looming U.S. tariffs, but warned that growth risks remain tilted to the downside.
