@lasse108 There is an error in your calculation.  It does not compound during weekend or on stock market holiday. The market probably opens ~255 days a year

1.1417^(1/5)-1 = XXXXXXX

The annualized return is
1.02686^255 - X = XXXXX or ~8630%
