And there we are… throwing race into this conversation, all while ignoring the reality of those Founding Fathers (especially the presidents) and their beliefs regarding slavery:

George Washington (First President): I can only say that there is not a man living who wishes more sincerely than I do to see a plan adopted for the abolition of it (slavery).

John Adams (Second President): Every measure of prudence, therefore, ought to be assumed for the eventual total extirpation of slavery from the United States.

Thomas Jefferson (Third President): Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep forever. (Speaking of slavery)

James Madison (Fourth President): Slavery is “the most oppressive dominion ever exercised by man over man.”

James Monroe (Fifth President): We must, and will, at all times, regard the rights of man, wherever they may be assailed, as sacred.

Were they perfect? No. And neither is Trump… or you. But to act as if this invalidates my point is nothing short of a Leftist deflection tactic, especially when you ignore the full context of American history.
