If this persists, we might as well revert to the old KOL deals and handle them privately. I keep hearing that top creators drive conversions, but aside from @beast_ico, I haven't seen any data to back that up. In fact, smaller creators like @PlaceholderKey and @Crypto_Zh0u thrived during Virtuals Day, landing in the top X on the $ROOM leaderboard. For example, @Polkadot spent a truckload of money on KOLs, but who really noticed? I personally didn't. Kaito created an environment where all creators on the leaderboard are incentivized to actively discuss current events in the ecosystem. Some may lead to conversion some may not. I know more about Polkadot now than ever I did before Kaito, and I've been in crypto for a long time Some may call it "Kaito farming," but I personally believe the DeFi strategies I discuss on @katana are educational. Based on DMs and comments, I know I've helped onboard people to Sushi and Morpho for the first time. In my opinion, the biggest issue right now isn't just smaller creators and their signal, but also large creators who lack conviction. Too many large accounts discuss numerous projects without showing any commitment, making it obvious they're farming rewards. When I encounter posts like that, regardless of the account size, I see no value and choose to ignore them. Sure, we can discuss large vs. small platforms and how they generate signals, but eventually, people will recognize the larp and move on (or not). The only reason high follower creators generate signals in terms of views and comments is due to the vanity metrics that exist on X XXXXX engagements **Related Topics** [kol](/topic/kol) [Post Link](https://x.com/itskkoma/status/1948555713921646669)
