Stellantis has cost losses before the tariffs.

Stellantis N.V. has been projecting profit losses since at least September 2024, when it cut its 2024 profit forecast and warned of negative cash flow between €5-10 billion due to weakening U.S. demand and increased competition from Chinese automakers. This was followed by a reported €2.3 billion net loss for the first half of 2025, announced on July 20, 2025, driven by U.S. tariffs, model phase-outs, and weak sales in Europe and North America. The company’s 2024 full-year results, published February 2025, also showed a XX% net profit decline to €5.5 billion and negative industrial free cash flows of €6 billion.
