France recognizing Palestine in September makes Macron the first G7 leader to break ranks with Washington on this issue.

This isn't just symbolism. 

When Europe's only nuclear power and UN Security Council member recognizes Palestinian statehood, it creates diplomatic momentum other nations can't ignore.

Macron's been pushing Middle East peace harder than any Western leader. 

From Lebanon mediation to Gaza ceasefire attempts, he's consistently shown Europe can chart its own course.

Netanyahu's furious because he knows what this means: 

The two-state solution just got its strongest advocate yet. 

Sometimes leadership means standing alone first.
