Demonetization of gold means stripping it of its role as a monetary reserve asset…selling off central bank holdings or removing it from the financial system.

Contrary to that, gold is being re-monetized:
•  Central banks are buying at record levels
•  No major bank is selling
•  Gold is regaining trust as neutral reserve
