🇨🇳 1st & 2nd gens were light fighters. The 3rd gen introduced a medium (J-8).

By the 4th gen, China fielded ~600 mediums (J-10) and nearly XXXXX heavies (J-11/15/16), phasing out lights.

5th gen began with the heavy J-20, later joined by the medium J-35.

6th gen? It’s going to be massive.
