The debate about NS and Christianity is circular and honest to god, feels astroturfed. 

A far more interesting discussion is whether Christianity is compatible with American nationalism. The Founding Fathers were much more hostile towards organized religion than Hitler was. If those who preach star spangled Catholic theocratic dictatorship were around in 1780 TJ and Washington would hang you from your neck.
