I have been warning ever since Trump's tariff wars started that they were particularly targeting the ASEAN countries, and they were meant to achieve a specific goal, and i said ASEAN had to work as a common front and stand united. Now ASEAN seems to be breaking under pressure. 

You can always assume there are aspects of "negotiations" that are not publicly stated or discussed. Tensions created in the region by Trump's war are starting to boil over. America is trying to break ASEAN apart, and i stated that from day one. 

America's rediscovered imperialist ambitions under Trump are leading to efforts to feed the anti-Chinese sentiment in the region especially in countries where the pro-American sentiment still prevails. Vietnam was first to buckle. You must assume Cambodia is under heavy pressure too. 

Council on Foreign Relations put out an article earlier in the year explaining why Trump targeted this region specifically.

American diplomacy of divide and conquer once again at play.
