I wonder if the Yankees and Phillies would engage around a swap centered around Spencer Jones and Andrew Painter.

Jones obviously has his risk, but he also has MVP upside and has been genuinely unbelievable this season.

Painter’s control and results at AAA have been very rough since returning from Tommy John surgery, but he still has elite stuff and Cy Young upside.

Fills both teams’ needs and takes away from their surplus.
